Carlos Alcaraz ended his career in ATP Acapulco

The former world number one suffered another right hip injury (the previous one forced him out of the 2023 Australian Open) and did not recover in time to play in Acapulco.

“I have a grade 1 right hamstring tear that will keep me out for a few days after medicals this morning (Tuesday)” – Carlos Alcaraz on Twitter.

Alcaraz has appeared in two consecutive finals against Cameron Norrie, winning one in Buenos Aires and losing one in Rio de Janeiro.

And Britain’s Norrie (12 ATP) said no to the tournament in Acapulco, with organizers declaring he was “tired”.
