Stanislas Wawrinka (37 years old) reached the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Marseille, the Swiss passed after a grueling match against the seventh favorite of the competition, Richard Gasquet.

Stan is currently ranked 105th in the world after winning in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. The match lasted two hours and 25 minutes.

In the quarters, Wawrinka will meet the winner of the match between Yannick Sinner (12 ATP – second favorite) and Artur Fils (118 world).

Stan The Man was at the top of the ATP rankings at number 3 (in January 2014) and he won three Grand Slams in his career: the 2014 Australian Open, 2015 Roland Garros and 2016 US Open.
