Andy Murray passed Alexander Zverev after more than 3 hours of play

After a match that lasted almost 6 hours at the Australian Open, Andy Murray (70 ATP) took part in a new spectacular match against the German Alexander Zverev (16 ATP).

It took the Brit more than three times to eliminate the former ATP No. 2, who managed to level the score in the second set, which he won.

In the deciding set, they went head-to-head at 5-5, the difference being a point won by Murray on his opponent’s serve.

Thanks to this success, Andy Murray will play in the quarterfinals, where he will meet Alexander Muller (170 ATP). The Frenchman beat Botic van de Zandschulp (34 ATP), score 6-2, 6-4.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open (Doha) will be held from February 20 to 26 on hard, is part of the ATP 250 category and has a total prize fund of $1,377,025. The titular champion is Roberto Bautista Agut (2022).
