At the press conference before the 72nd All-Star Game, Mr. John Antetokounmpo talked about his goals, making it clear that he was not worried about the regular season MVP award, but that he and the Milwaukee Bucks would become NBA champions.
“I don’t care about the MVP award. I want to be a champion, I want my team to be great and I want to focus on things that I can control. This (voting) I can’t control, so I can’t worry,” Antetokounmpo stressed, among other things.
Referring to the draft process for Giannis’ All-Star team, he said, “I want to pick guys who can play hard but also score a lot of goals for us, and obviously I want to play with Drew[Holiday]. so that we can be in the same group and experience together. If I have the opportunity to choose him, it goes without saying that I will choose him.”
