Kareem Adeyemi compared to Road Runner by Edin Terzic

Adeyemi, whose mother is Romanian, was compared to the ‘Road Runner’ speed bird after he ran more than 60 meters past Enzo Fernandez and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to score.

“Beep-beep-beep! And then he goes. This is Karim’s quality. It was a corner and we defended well. It was a dangerous situation, but when you see his acceleration … his first touch was there to speed up the game.

If you are fast like him, then it will be very difficult for you to defend. It was a great goal and very important because it was the winning goal” – Edin Terzichcoach of Borussia Dortmund, on BT Sport.

New year, new luck for Borussia Dortmund

“We started the match quite badly, but we fought and in the end won. I told myself I had to score, we were trying to win one on one.

New year and new luck! I played in front of those fans, it was incredible. We won and it is important for the second leg. We talked a lot with each other at the meeting, before the season resumed” – Karim Adeyemi.

Borussia Dortmund, who are on a seven-game winning streak in all competitions, travel to London for the second leg on March 7.
