La Spezia and Salernitana sacked their coaches

After a 2-2 draw with Empoli, Spezia are in 17th place, just two points off the relegation zone.

Coach Luca Gotti, who arrived in July 2022, was sacked four days before the match against Juventus in the 23rd round of Serie A, according to News.ro.

Salernitana again lost 1-0 at Verona and Davide Nicolae, who was suspended for two days in January but reinstated, was again dismissed.

The team is ranked 16th, and Nicola will replace Paula Souza.

At the time of the sacking in January, the press announced that Rapid coach Adrian Mutu was the favorite to take charge of the team trying to avoid relegation to Italy’s first division.

Seven Serie A teams sacked their managers in the first 22 rounds: Monza, Sampdoria, Verona, SPAL, Cremonese, La Spezia and Salernitana.
