Michael Jordan donated $10 million

This is the largest donation received from an individual in the organization’s 43-year history.

With this donation, Jordan, a six-time NBA champion, hopes to inspire others to help make children’s wishes come true.

“For the past 34 years, it has been my honor to work with Make-A-Wish and bring smiles and happiness to many children. To witness their strength and resilience during such a difficult time in their lives was truly an inspiration” – Michael Jordan in the press release”.

Jordan, now the owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, first supported Make-A-Wish in 1989.

He fulfilled the wishes of hundreds of children from all over the world. Jordan was named Make-A-Wish’s Chief Wish Ambassador in 2008 for his “life-changing impact on children and their families.”

“I can think of no better birthday present than to see others join me in supporting Make-A-Wish so that every child can experience the magic of making a wish come true” – Michael Jordanquoted by News.ro.
