Kansas City Chiefs beat Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl 2023

The Chiefs were able to come back and win Super Bowl 57 in Phoenix after leading 27-21 heading into the final quarter.

Despite aggravating an ankle injury, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was one of the architects of the victory along with coach Andy Reid.

More than 67,000 spectators attended the match.

Mahomes, who was named MVP for the second time last week, at age 27 became the first player since 1999 to win the MVP, Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP in the same season.

It was both a historic and a rare Super Bowl. It was the first Super Bowl to feature two black quarterbacks, Mahones and Jalen Hurts, and two brothers from opposing teams, Kansas’ Travis Kelce and his older brother, Jason, of the Eagles.

It was the first time the top seeds from each conference have reached the Super Bowl since 2018, when the Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33. This is the most productive Super Bowl final in history.

Kansas City won the Super Bowl in 1970 and 2020, according to News.ro.
