Inter U19 played in the company of Ukrainians from Lviv Rukh in the UEFA Youth League playoffs on Wednesday, and the team coached by Christy Kivu was defeated on penalties.
Serhiy Panchenko opened the score against the Ukrainians (30th minute), but the team led by the Romanian coach equalized with Francesco Pio Esposito (52nd minute).
With the game not decided even in extra time, it went to a penalty shoot-out where Nikola Iliev, Alessandro Fontanarosa and Aleksandar Stankovic missed for Inter.
Vitaliy Roman Vasylovych scored the decisive penalty for the Ukrainians.
