PAOK and Olympiacos played a draw (0:0) at Toumba in the match of the 21st round of the Super League Championship.
Former black-and-white Alexandros Paschalakis is a big star for the red-whites, both teams have one goal each.
Razvan Lucescu’s men entered the game with incredible enthusiasm, creating three great chances in the first five minutes. Initially, Kaleda Nareya’s cross kick came to rest on the outside of Olympiacos’ left goal post.
A second later, after Nareya’s turn, Andrija Zivkovic shot from the penalty area, Alexandros Paschalakis saved his goal. He did something, with a double effort, and in the 5th minute, on a long-range shot by Giannis Konstantelias.
In between, the Reds attempted to threaten in a counterattack when James Rodríguez served to Cedric Bacaba and Dominik Kotarski intervened at the last minute.
After… a calm quarter, PAOK threatened again, Konstantinos Coulierakis scored… Paschalakis from the penalty spot. In the 22nd minute, Olympiacos… equalized, Hames’ lightning hit the crossbar of Kotarski’s goal.
The pace then dropped and it took 44 minutes for PAOK to threaten again, with Nelson Oliveira missing the top of the penalty area.
Just as happened with the efforts of Giorgos Masouras during the delays of the first part, for the team of Mitchell Gonzalez.
A great start to the second half as well: Constantelia (49′) and Douglas Augusto (54′) created chances for PAOK, while Yoan Sastre caught Bakaba (51′) at the last moment on behalf of Olympiacos.
In the final minutes, changes reduced the intensity of the match, with the home side missing another chance in the 73rd minute when Augustos crossed Paschalakis and Brandon Thomas missed his head during the phase.
Somewhere there, the match “faded out” and remained 0-0 until the end. A result that is not in favor of either of the two teams, which saw their difference with the leader Panathinaikos increased to five points, while AEK scored +4 and is looking forward to the match with Atromitos.
