Zverev passes Stan Wawrinka
If Wawrinka caused problems for the German in the first set, the second was completely at the discretion of the two-time winner of the Champions Tour, winning after an hour and 37 minutes with a score of 6-4, 6-1.
Stan Wawrinka has titles at US Open 2016, Roland Garros 2015 and Australian Open 2014.
Oleksandr Zverev suffered a serious injury in the semifinal match of Roland Garros-2022 against Rafael Nadal and underwent surgery on his right ankle.
The final Davis Cup tournament, now in its 111th year, will be held from 12-17 September 2023 for the group stages and 22-26 November 2023 for the play-offs.
