RedBull unveiled its new car for the 2023 Formula 1 season in New York on Friday and formalized a partnership with Ford, with which it will develop new engine regulations from 2026.

RedBull – Ford deal, official from 2026

Ford is returning to Formula 1 with the world champion and will collaborate with new hybrid units for both RedBull and Alpha Tauri starting in 2026, until at least 2030, writes Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Ford’s return to Formula 1 through this partnership is fantastic. Ford spans generations in motoring history, from Jim Clark to Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher, and for us at Red Bull Powertrains to open this chapter is because Red Bull Ford is extraordinary,” announced RedBull Team Principal Christian Horner.

New single seater for RedBull

In the presence of world champion Max Verstappen and his team-mate Sergio Perez, RedBull also unveiled the new RB19 single-seater that will compete in the 2023 season.

The 2023 Formula 1 season will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5. Next comes the Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah – March 19) and Australia (Albert Park – April 2).
