Having risen to the 132nd place in the world ranking, the athlete from Slovenia lost to the Chinese Lin Zhu (54 WTA), the score 6-2, 6-2.

The game lasted an hour and 15 minutes.

In the semifinals, Zhu will meet compatriot Xinyu Wang (WTA 81, favorite 7). The two pairs played in doubles at the competition in Hua Hin and reached the final on Friday.
