Jiang (267 ATP) took two hours and 37 minutes to defeat Samrej (605 ATP), 6-4, (5)6-7, 6-2.

Filip led 5-3 in the second set, but he could not close out the game and needed a decisive moment to earn the first point for the Romanian team.
