It’s official: Enzo Fernandez has become a new Chelsea player. The Argentine became the most expensive player in the history of the Premier League, for which the British paid the Lisbon “Benfica” 121 million euros (106.8 million pounds).

According to The Guardian, “Chelsea” would have reached an agreement with the group from Portugal about two hours before the closing of the transfer window.

The management of the Lisbon “Benfica” repeatedly refused the offers of the Premier League team, but in the end the parties reached a consensus.

As in recent times, Chelsea prepared a long-term contract for the world champion: Enzo signed an eight-year deal.
