Andriy Civulete finally stopped the match between Sepsi and FC Craiova in the 23rd stage of the Super League in the 26th minute due to xenophobic chants from some fans attending the match in Sfiant Gheorghe.

A day later, Rezvan Burleanu came with the first reaction to what had happened.

“Our position of the Romanian Football Federation is very clear. First of all, we do not want racist, discriminatory and/or xenophobic shouts and messages in our society.

On the other hand, referee Chivulete followed a 3-step protocol that is also used internationally. In the near future, the case will be considered by the Disciplinary Commission, which will issue a decision regarding the incidents that occurred at this match.

We want the stadium to be a civilized space where you can go with your child. Undoubtedly, there is a need for intervention in this area.

Under the threat of defeat in the match, Olten made a statement condemning the attitude of the fans.
