Novak Djokovic drew level with Rafael Nadal for the most Grand Slam titles (22 each) by winning the Australian Open for the 10th time in his career, and the reaction of the Iberian (who was knocked out in the second round in Melbourne) was not long in coming.

A few hours after the final at Rod Laver Arena, Rafa wanted to congratulate his opponent through a message published on Instagram.

“Extraordinary achievement, Novak Djokovic. I sincerely congratulate you and your team! Deserved. Enjoy the moment, Nole!” – Rafael Nadal.

Ranking of Grand Slam titles

1. Rafael Nadal / Novak Djokovic 22

3. Roger Federer 20

4. Pete Sampras 14

5. Bjorn Borg 11

6. Jimmy Connors / Ivan Lendl / Andre Agassi 8 etc.

Nole and Rafa will meet at Roland Garros to rewrite tennis history again. The Iberian, who is considered the king of the Paris tournament (14-time champion), is in a rather bad shape (he has won only one this season and has health problems again) and Nole has a left hip injury (which has caused a lot of controversy) and looks unstoppable.
