The 100th Brussels Motor Show opens its doors today, January 22, with innovative models, concept vehicles and mobility solutions. Opel is “present” with four world premieres: the new Opel Astra Electric, Opel Astra Sports Tourer GSe and Opel Grandland GSe, as well as the Mokka Electric, which is presented for the first time with a new battery and 20% more. range .

The new Astra Electric, the all-electric version of the 2022 Golden Steering Wheel winner, has a range of up to 416 km (based on WLTP) thanks to a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery that can be charged up to 80% of its capacity. in about 30 minutes at a 100 kW DC fast charging station. At the same time, Astra Electric offers a lot of driving pleasure. The electric motor produces 156 hp. and a torque of 270 Nm, which provides a quick start from a standstill and a top speed of up to 170 km/h.

The new GSe sub-brand also symbolizes dynamic driving pleasure. Two Grand Sport Electric models are on display in Brussels: Opel Astra Sports Tourer GSe and Opel Grandland GSe. Compared to the corresponding conventional versions, the GSe models are designed for even more dynamic driving. Astra GSe has a total power of 225 hp. and maximum torque of 360 Nm. The Grandland GSe combines the power of a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine and two electric motors, one for each axle, resulting in a total output of 221 kW/300 hp.

The Opel Mokka Electric is the choice for those who want to drive a small, zero-emission SUV, as the 2021 Golden Steering Wheel Award winner will now be available with a larger battery. Aerodynamically optimized and with a new 54 kWh battery, the Mokka Electric will be able to drive up to 406 km with zero emissions in accordance with the WLTP protocol – 20% more than before. In addition, a more powerful electric motor delivers more power, reaching up to 156 hp. and 260 Nm of torque.
