​Linda Frukhvirtova is one of the sensations of the moment in women’s tennis, an athlete from the Czech Republic managed to reach the 1/8 finals of the Australian Open at only 17 years old. On Saturday, Linda beat compatriot Marketa Vondrousova, a finalist at the 2019 Roland Garros Grand Slam.

7-5, 2-6, 6-3 for Fruhvirtova in a match against a much more experienced opponent.

Currently ranked 82nd in the world, Linda won the first set 7-5 but lost the second 6-2. In the deciding match, Vondrousova led 3-1, but from that moment she could not win a single game.

The end of the match clearly belonged to Linda: she scored five games in a row (6-3), and the victory came to her after a match lasting two hours and 17 minutes.

Linda trains at the Patrik Muratoglu Academy, and the French coach has said several times about Frukhvirtova that she will be one of the best players in the world.
