The Bundesliga has resumed after a long break of more than two months, which included the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the winter period. Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig drew 1:1.

With the recently transferred Sommer in place of seriously injured captain Manuel Neuer, Bayern opened the scoring in the 37th minute thanks to Choupo-Moting’s header past Gnabry.

Equalized in the 52nd minute when Marcel Halstenberg shot from the penalty area and beat Sommer.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side remain at the top of the Bundesliga with 35 points, while Leipzig could lose the podium if either Frankfurt or Union Berlin manage to win.
