Victoria Azarenka defeated American Madison Keys, the tenth seed, in the third round of the Australian Open in Melbourne after taking the first set.

Victoria Azarenka comes back and knocks out Madison Keys

Keys, who is ranked 13th in the WTA rankings, controlled the first set and won it decisively with a score of 6-1 after Azarenka lost three serves.

A two-time winner of the Australian Open (2012 and 2013), the Belarusian made a remarkable comeback to win the next set 6-2, 6-1 after a match that lasted one hour and 40 minutes.

The former world number one will meet winner Liu Zhu and sixth seed Maria Sakkari in the round of 16 in Melbourne.
