In the second set, the second favorite started better and took the lead to eventually win on emotions – 7-5.
The decisive set had no history, Vondrousova showed herself with a categorical 6-1.
Former Roland Garros 2019 finalist Marketa Vondrousova will meet compatriot Linda Fruchtwirtova, ranked 82nd in the WTA rankings, in the third round of the Australian Open.
Australian Open 2023 will be held from January 16 to 29. The reigning champions are Ashley Barty (retired) and Rafael Nadal (retired).
