Augustin Chirice, a former midfielder who played in Romania for the University of Craiova, FC Arges, Inter Gaz, Mineralu Motru, FC Olt or Viktoria Brenesti, spoke to GSP Live about several incidents involving Ionuc Lutsu. They studied together in high school in Slatin.

“Lutsu, in my opinion, was a player gifted by God with many qualities. We all know his name was “Hagi Lutsu”. I didn’t see much of Giku Dobrin, I didn’t see much of Ilye Balachi. But I was Lutz’s teammate. He could walk you around in a phone booth. We were in the same class in high school. He was more with football than with a book.

In Galatasaray, the club presented him with a Fiat car. You know how it is in Turkey, the first to enter the intersection, you go. Drove onto the ring road, didn’t know what to do, crashed into a car. He went to the club, he was fixed. The second time he was told: “Take and read the traffic rules here, from now on you will correct them yourself.”

We had a match when we were traveling from Craiova to Constanta by train, we didn’t even feel that 5-6 hours had passed. He started telling us about Galatasaray, we didn’t even realize how time passed. It is unique. He didn’t use his talent,” said Augustin Chirice on GSP Live.
