
The team consisting of Ana Bohdan and Tatyana Maria (Germany) was eliminated on Thursday in the first round of the Australian Open 2023 doubles.
Bohdan and his colleague were defeated by the pair of Olivia Gadeki/Priscilla Hone (Australia, wild card), score 6-4, 6-2. The match lasted an hour and 25 minutes.
Ana and Tatiana will receive a check for 19,292 euros and 10 points in the WTA doubles ranking for their participation in the main draw.
We will remind, Ana Bohdan (63 WTA) also left the singles in the first round, losing to Anna Bondar (81 WTA) with a score of 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
Romania is also represented in doubles by Monika Niculescu (together with Victoria Golubic), Gabriela Ruse (together with Marta Kostiuk) and Iryna Begu (together with Shelby Rogers).
