The referees will announce the decision on the microphone after checking the VAR

During the meeting, it was decided that the referees would directly announce the decisions related to the phases checked by VAR through a microphone so that they could be heard throughout the stadium, writes Marca.

The decision will be reviewed throughout the year and will first be implemented at the Club World Cup, which kicks off on February 1 in Morocco.

FIFA has provided support for the latest developments in VAR technology, including innovations that could allow the system to be used in more competitions.

Regarding measures to address the issue of actual playing time in a match, the IFAB has announced that they are in the works and will be communicated at a later date.
