At the end of last year, the entire board of directors of the Juventus (Torino) club (led by president Andrea Agnelli) decided to resign, as officials of the “Old Signora” came under investigation for accounting fraud and market manipulation.

After the meeting of the general meeting of shareholders, the Juventus board decided to appoint 60-year-old Ferrero to the position of president, as well as Maurizio Scanavino to the position of general director of the club.

“We face challenges and we believe that we have the necessary experience, competence and determination to defend Juventus and our team before all competent institutions.

We will do it decisively and strictly, calmly and without arrogance. We have respected and will always respect those who judge us, but we want to be respected as well,” Gianluca Ferrero said, according to News.ro.

Former Juventus president Andrea Agnelli decided in November 2022 that the entire management of the club would resign following the Prisma investigation opened by the prosecutor’s office in Turin.
