The big Grand Slam favorite from Melbourne needed one hour and 24 minutes to beat the Colombian 6-2, 6-3.

Iga had some problems on serve (he won 63% of his first points and 50% of his second points), while Osorio had three breaks in total.

Know:

  • In the third round, Svyatek will meet the winner of the match between Kristina Bucha (100 WTA) and Bianca Andreescu (43 WTA).
  • At the Antipozi 2022 competition, Iga Svyatek stopped at the semi-final stage (she was defeated by the American Danielle Collins).

Australian Open 2023 will be held from January 16 to 29. The champions of the title were Ashley Barty (now retired from sports) and Rafael Nadal.
