With 38 appearances and 20 goals for the Brazilian national team, Roberto Dynamite is Vasco da Gama’s all-time top scorer (708) and Brazil’s all-time top scorer (190).
Roberto Dynamite won the Brazilian Championship in 1974 and the Rio State Championship five times (1977, 1982, 1987, 1988 and 1992).
In 1979, he also signed a contract with FC Barcelona, but failed to establish himself in the Catalan team.
Dynamite was president of the Vasco da Gama club from 2008 to 2014, but also held 5 parliamentary seats in Rio.
