18-year-old Linda Noskova – a big surprise in the women’s series at the beginning of the season, lost the final of the WTA tournament in Adelaide. The athlete from the Czech Republic, who is ranked 102nd in the world, lost to Arina Sabalenko (6-3, 7-6(4)).

Aryna Sabalenko, WTA Adelaide big winner

The match’s second favorite, Arina, had an incredible day with her serve, winning 93.5% of the points played first.

Linda’s response was perfect, only one break was recorded in the final: made by Aryna in the first set, in the sixth game.

After winning the first set 6-3, Sabalenka needed a tie-break to finish the match (7-4). The match lasted one hour and 43 minutes.

A fantastic track at WTA Adelaide will help Linda make a big leap in the world ranking.

At the beginning of the competition, Noskova was ranked 102nd, and after qualifying she managed to play in the final.

From next week, the player from the Czech Republic will be ranked 56th in the WTA rankings, an impressive jump of 46 places after a spectacular performance in Adelaide.
