Sorana Kirstea and Ana Bohdan managed to make a step in the final qualifying round of the WTA Adelaide 2 tournament, a competition that is part of the “WTA 500” category.

Kirstia beat the Italian Camila Giorgi (66 WTA) after a tense match that lasted two hours and 23 minutes. It was 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 in favor of Sorana.

Kerstya is waiting for a match with Kaya Kanepi (sixth favorite of qualification – 32nd place in WTA).

In the other match of the day, Ana Bohdan (56 WTA) won in two sets with the score 7-6(5), 6-4 Shuai Zhang (25th place – second favorite in the qualification). The match lasted one hour and 44 minutes.

Ana Bohdan will fight the winner of the match between Kateryna Siniakova (49 WTA) and Oleksandra Osborn (666 WTA) for entry into the main draw.

WTA Adelaide 2 is part of the WTA 500 category, the competition takes place from January 9 to 14 on hard, the total prize money is $780,637, and the champion of the title is Ashley Barty (at the 2022 tournament – the athlete has now finished her career).
