Sorana Kirstea, match with Ons Jabert in the 1/8 finals of WTA Adelaide

Soran, ranked 45th in the world, entered the match decisively, and the opponent from Switzerland was caught off guard by the attacking momentum of our player. Kirstya won 6-0 in the first set, being very strong in the main game.

The return match began with the first game won by Victoria in the match, which has a special value – a break.

Fortunately, Sorana did not allow her opponent to block the scoreboard, imposing herself immediately from the rematch (1-1).

From that moment, the serve went one on one, and with the score 4-3, Kerstya made two “tied” break points (15-40). Unfortunately, he did not judge them as he should have, and Golubych got out of a very difficult situation.

At the tie-break, a draw finally took place: Kerstya played accurately, and the score (7:1) speaks for itself. The game lasted an hour and 45 minutes.
