In the motorcycle class, the second stage of the Dakar Rally was won by the American Mason Klein (KTM), and the Romanian Emanuel Gienes finished the stage in 38th place, 43 minutes and 52 seconds behind the winner.

The second stage of the Dakar Rally included a special test of 430 km between the Red Sea bivouac and Al Ula.

Klein was one minute and 9 seconds ahead of Germany’s Sebastian Buehler (Hero), who took second place, and another American, Skyler Hawes (Husqvarna), was third by one minute and 13 seconds.

Romanian Emanuel Dienes on a KTM motorcycle finished the stage in 38th place, 43 minutes 52 seconds behind the winner.

After this victory, Mason Klein led the general classification, one minute and 43 seconds ahead of Australian Toby Price (KTM) and two minutes and three seconds ahead of Spain’s Juan Barreda (Honda).

Dienes is 37th overall, one hour 17 minutes and 51 seconds behind the leader.

The third stage of the “Dakar” rally Al-Ula – Khail (447 km per hour) will start on Tuesday, reports Agerpres.
