But Brentford fans booed Kane for missing a penalty in the semi-final against France at the World Cup in Qatar. “You have failed your country” was first heard from the stands at Brentford Stadium, while home supporters chanted “Tony would have scored”.

• The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute when Forster failed to parry Jensen’s shot and Jannelt fired into an empty net for a 1–0 win.
• Tony sent the ball into the net in the 44th minute, but the referee called it offside.
• In the 54th minute, Brentford doubled their lead and Toni made it 2-0 from close range.
• And in the 65th minute, Tottenham reduced the score to 2:1, and Harry Kane headed into the net after an excellent cross from Langley.
• In the 72nd minute, Hojbjerg equalized with a shot from the top of the penalty area.
• The Londoners also had the crossbar in the 84th minute with a Kane header.
