
​Part of the grandstand collapsed and at least 27 people were injured Saturday while watching a basketball game. The event took place in Cairo.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, a spokesman for Egypt’s health ministry, said at least 27 people were injured, some with multiple fractures.
Part of the tribune in the “Hasan Mostafa” hall collapsed, and the chaos in the room was indescribable.
Fortunately, according to Egyptian officials, “most suffered non-life-threatening injuries.”
The Egyptian Basketball Federation has decided to suspend the match between Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad teams, News.ro reports.
