Forbes released the list of the highest paid sportswomen in the world in 2022, and the first two places were occupied by two tennis players who did not impress anything in the year, which ends in just a few days.
Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams and Eileen Gu are the top earners in 2022
Thus, the distant leader is Naomi Osaka ($51 million), and Serena Williams (who retired from professional tennis at the US Open) collected $41.3 million.
Finally, the podium is closed by Eileen Gu (free skier – $20.1 million).
In 4th place Emma Reducanu ($18.7 million), the amount collected by the Brit is related to the important contracts she signed after winning the US Open in 2021 (in terms of results, Emma has not impressed at all this year ).
Iga Sviatek has absolutely dominated most of the 2022 WTA season, but despite all this, she is only in the 5th place in the Forbes ranking ($14.9 million).
Up to the 10th place, we find only two athletes outside of tennis: Simona Biles (gymnast – $10 million) and Minji Lee (golfer – $7.3 million).
