Miltos Tedoglu and Antigoni Drisbioti were named the best athletes of the year at the Panhellenic Association of Sports Editors (PSAT) annual awards. The medal-winning length champion (gold at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, silver at the World Indoor Championships in Oregon, gold at the European Championships in Munich) defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lefteris Petrunias in the voting.

The Greek Walk, which won first place in the 35 km walk at the European Championships and the 20 km walk in the same competition, was nominated along with Anna Korakaki and Elina Tsengo. The best team of the year was the national water polo team (3rd place in the World Championship), and the best coach was Giorgos Pomaski, coach of Miltos Tedoglu. Dimostenis Michaletsakis (swimming) and Alexandra Stamatopoulou (swimming) were named Best Disabled Athletes, and the Deaf Women’s National Basketball Team was named Best Disabled Team.

G. Printezis (award for sports and social contribution), S. Arausho (fair competition), Margarita, Eleftheria, Vasiliki Pleuritou (sports family), P. Kuzilou, No. 1 were also awarded. Naskari (rising talents), ATHLI.SY Association (sports tourism). V. Patoulidou, P. Dimas, M. Muroutsos, G. Kugiumtsidis (Greco-Roman wrestling), Ant. Papakonstantinou (rowing), Ap. Christou (swimming), M. Gounis Papaioannou, X. Dimitriou (women’s football) and the family of the late taekwondo Olympian Alexandros Nikolaidis.
