The euphoric atmosphere on the streets of Paris was experienced firsthand by France 24 correspondent Liza Kaminova, who broadcast live from among the celebrating fans.
She was hugged and pushed by the singing and dancing crowd, waving French flags, but she did not let herself be knocked off her feet and successfully continued the broadcast until its end.
France will play in the World Cup final in Qatar against Argentina after knocking out Morocco in the semi-finals with goals from Theo Hernandez in the 5th minute and Rendal Colo Mouani in the 79th minute.
