
The French Trophy international chess tournament took place in Bucharest on the recently concluded weekend.
Children from 3 countries took part in the junior chess tournament: Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine. The competition was held at the French secondary school of Anne de Noailles.
The prize fund was 15,000 lei, and the best juniors of the country in the categories of 8, 10 and 14 years competed for a place on the podium.
To the category Open for 14 yearsthe podium was completely occupied by the juniors who are enrolled in the CS chess university:
1. Prelipei Eric, 2. Chokani Yosyp 3. Vasile Matei.
Women’s podium this category was completed by:
1. Semenova Vasilisa (from Ukraine, recently added to Romania’s roster at CS Oxygen Bucharest), 2. Ariana Badika (CS Dinamo), 3. Maria Pandelescu (CS Oxygen Bucharest).
To the category 10 years openthe first three were taken by:
1. Petroff Vlad (CS Oxygen Bucharest), 2. Stanitsa Andriy (CSS ILFOV) 3. Mykhailo Bozhidar (Bulgaria).
Women’s podium this category was completed by:
1. Sabu Stefania (CS Bucharest University of Chess), 2. Pop Maria Olivia (Logic 64 Brașov), 3. Emma Cretescu (University Chess Bucharest CS).
To the category Open for 8 years the first three were taken by:
1. Larion Justin (CS Oxygen Bucharest) 2. Varabiescu Petru (CS University Chess Bucharest), 3. Prušter Alexandru (CS Alcor Bucharest).
Women’s podium in this category it was completed by: 1. Maria Anistoroei (CS Gambitul Damei Iași), 2. Stojka Melina (CS Bucharest University of Chess) and 3. Natalia Pusnei (CS University of Bucharest Chess).
The competition was held under the auspices of the Romanian Chess Federation and the International Chess Federation.
