“Following the abhorrent position of the Republic of Austria to block Romania’s access to the Schengen area, the University of Craiova, true to the principles rooted in its DNA, has decided to impose sanctions on Austrian partner companies with a full boycott.

From this month, the club will transfer its accounts from the bank to the Austrian shareholder Raiffeisen Bank, and the supply of fuel and consumables for the Science park will no longer be carried out at OMW-Petrom stations. At the same time, starting next year, the traditional summer lion camp will no longer take place at a mountain resort in Austria, but in another European country with similar training conditions.

From our point of view, these companies, but not only them, are participants in the absurd and discriminatory policy against Romanians and Romania, which the Austrian state promotes today. We hope that the entire Romanian football spirit will join our approach, because today, more than ever, we must show that we are institutionally mature enough to stop acting according to the saying: “The head is gone, the sword is not cut!” – University of Craiova on Facebook.
