At the World Cup in Qatar, Belgium showed very modest results and was eliminated from the group stage. The Red Devils finished 3rd in Group F, with Croatia and Morocco progressing to the round of 16 and even the quarter-finals.

In the Belgian national team, Eden Hazard made his debut on November 19, 2008 in a match against Luxembourg. Since then, Hazard has made 126 appearances for Belgium and scored 33 goals.
