There has been talk of various options for FCSB’s bench in recent weeks following the departure of Nicolae Dike, and the final choice is a surprise.

Leo Strizu, the new FCSB coach

The owner of the Romanian vice-champion Gigi Becali confirmed to AS.ro that Leo Strizu has become the new coach of the team.

“Yes, yes (no Leo Strizu is the new coach). Yes, Pintilius will help him,” – Gigi Bekali for the quoted source.

At the age of 55, Strizu has a PRO coaching license and will be able to sit on the red-blue technical bench.

It should be noted that according to the current regulations of the FRF FCSB was obliged to have a coach with a PRO license on the technical bench. Mihai Pintilius (the one who took care of the team after the break with Nicolae Dike) only has a B license.

Leo Stritsu last coached Uniru Constanta (Ligue 2) in the 2021-2022 season.

Strizu was also the coach of FCSB II (at that time it was called Steaua București II) in the period 2008-2011.
