Japan, which in the first match managed to surprise Germany with a score of 2:1, started the match better and after the first half without shots on goal managed to put pressure on the opponent in the second half.

The goal was scored in the run of play after Costa Rican Fuller finished off a counterattack in the 81st minute with a superb strike from outside the box.

In the other Group E match, Spain will face Germany at 21:00. If the Germans win before the final group stage, the four teams can be level on points.
