
Leroy Sane will miss Germany’s World Cup opener in Qatar against Japan after picking up pain in the final training session.

The 26-year-old winger of Bayern Munich injured his knee and left the training of the German national team a day before the first official match, reports The Athletic.
Coach Hansi Flick is likely to replace Sane with Thomas Muller for Wednesday’s match against Japan.
Germany have been drawn in Group E of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar along with Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.
