Taylor Fritz was a very difficult opponent for Novak Djokovic, but the Serb found the necessary resources to beat the American after two tie-breaks and qualify for the 2022 Champions Tour final.

Novak Djokovic in the final of the Tournament of Champions

Nole was the first to win the rematch to take a 3-2 lead in the first set, but Fritz quickly broke back and the Serb needed a tie-break to take the first set, 7-6(5).

In the second set, the situation changed: Taylor broke in the first game, but his main weapon (serve) betrayed him just as he was serving at 5-4. Djokovic leveled and finished the game after the tiebreak, 7-6(6).

The match lasted one hour and 55 minutes.
