Turkey and the Czech Republic will not be in Qatar at the 2022 World Cup, but they will certainly offer an interesting match not only for the fans of the two representative teams, but also for the couple.

Turkey missed out on qualifying for the World Cup after losing 1-3 to Portugal in their first pool match (the Lusitanians then beat North Macedonia 2-0 in the decider).

In the previous competition, the “crescent” national team finished in 2nd place in Group G, which also included the Netherlands, Montenegro, Norway, Latvia and Gibraltar.

With former Germany international Stefan Kunz as coach, the Turks confirmed expectations in the 2022 Nations League, where they qualified for League B after winning an easy group with Luxembourg, the Faroe Islands and Lithuania.

In the last friendly match, which took place on November 16, Turkey defeated Scotland with a score of 2:1, the goals were scored by Kabak (40), Ander (49), McGinn (62) respectively.

The Czech Republic missed out on qualifying for the final tournament in the Persian Gulf also in the first pool match, 0-1 with Sweden after extra time (the Scandinavians later lost 2-0 to Poland in the decider).

In the previous match, the team coached by Jarosław Silgawi finished 3rd in Group E behind Belgium and Wales, but beat Estonia and Belarus to reach the play-offs thanks to a very good run in the 2020 Nations League.

The Czechs also disappointed in League A of the Nations League 2022, where they finished last in a group with Spain, Portugal and Switzerland, and therefore were relegated to League B.

In the last friendly match on November 16, the Czech Republic beat the Faroe Islands 5-0, with goals from Chitil 13, 19, 23, Cerny 42 and Stronati 76.

The last time these two teams met was in a preliminary match for the European Championship in 2016, when Turkey won both legs against the Czech Republic by the same scoreline 2-0.

Superbet offers odds of 1.65 on the PsFX prediction: a draw at halftime or at the end of the match Turkey – Czech Republic.
