Robert Lewandowski said that he is preparing for the World Cup in Qatar as if it were his last. However, the 34-year-old Polish striker stressed that he feels physically fit for the 2026 tournament as well.

“Is this my last World Cup? I don’t know,” Lewandowski told reporters in Doha. “Prepare like it’s my last, but I don’t say yes or no. I understand that I can still play in four years,” he added. “I think my teammates will take advantage of the fact that sometimes I can hire two players and a place will be freed up,” explained the Barcelona striker.

Lewandowski also commented on the temperature prevailing in Qatar. “I have been to Doha many times, I knew what to expect. It is easier and more pleasant for me when I came here. In Sochi at the 2018 World Cup it was different, strange, not very comfortable. I don’t feel it here, ”the Polish striker emphasized.

Poland is in the third group along with Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
