Andriy Rublev reached the semi-finals of the 2022 Tournament of Champions after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final match of the Red Group on Friday.

The Greek, winner of the draw in 2019, won the first set with a score of 6-3, but the Russian adjusted his serve (giving his opponent only one break point, which he saved) and won the next sets with a score of 6-3, 6 -2.

The match at Pala Alpitur (Torin) lasted an hour and 45 minutes.

In the Red Group, Rublev also defeated Danylo Medvedev (7-6, 3-6, 7-6) and lost to Novak Djokovic (4-6, 1-6).

Andriy Rublev will fight for a place in the grand final with Norwegian Casper Ruud.
