The Brentford footballer, who have beaten Manchester United (4-0) and Manchester City (2-1) in the Premier League this season, is in trouble after the English FA themselves referred to the betting , made by Ivan Toni.

Ivan Toni faces a multi-month disqualification for violating the rules of banning bets

Ivan Toney, 26, is one of the Premier League’s hottest strikers and the England international’s rise has been impressive.

Toni has scored 10 goals this season and is third in the Premier League’s top scorers list behind Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

According to the BBC, Ivan Toni broke rule E8 (which prohibits footballers from betting on matches or divulging confidential betting information) 232 times between 25 February 2017 and 23 January 2021. During this period, the Briton played for Shunthorpe, Wigan, Peterborough and Brentford.

Ivan Toney faces a months-long ban following a report from the FA. In the fall, Gareth Southgate wanted to call him up to the England team, but an investigation forced the coach of the Euro 2020 finalist to reverse his decision.

Former Manchester City player Joey Barton was also banned for 5 months in 2017 after admitting placing 1,260 bets over 10 years.

Current Newcastle United player Kieran Trippier was also banned for 10 weeks in 2020 when he invited friends to bet on his move to Atletico Madrid.
