The Romanian women’s handball team ended its participation in the European Championship with a defeat against Germany. In Skopje, the Germans won with a score of 32-28.

Romania lost to Germany, Christina Nyagu crossed the milestone of 300 goals scored at the European Championship

Christina Nyagu managed to overcome the milestone of 300 goals scored during her career at the European Championship (she has 303 after 7 goals scored against Germany).

As part of Romania, the main scorers were Nyagu 7 goals, Grozav 6, Prystavica 4, Badia 4.

Christina Nyagu’s performance is unique for both women’s and men’s handball: no one (except our athlete) managed to reach the bar of 300 goals scored during her entire career at the European Championship.

Our girls finished in last place in the main group 2 of the European Championship.

1 France 8 points / qualified for the semi-finals

2 Montenegro 6 / advanced to the semi-finals

6 Romania 2 (+1 match).

The CE semi-finals will be held on Friday, and the medals and the match for 5-6 places will be held on Sunday.
