Four-time world champion Selby lost 6-4 to Iran’s Hossein Vafai.

Ranked 20th in the world, Vafaei played spectacularly at times, with her biggest break coming at 119 points in the sixth frame.

At the age of 39, Mark Selby is currently ranked 4th in the world. He has won the Crucible World Cup four times: 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2021.
